A Women's Weekly Candle-lighting ritual?

Sunday, October 26, 2008

Tonight I came across a website for Jewish women that encourages them to take time on Friday evening to light some candles and recite a Jewish blessing. It wants women all over the world to get together, even in spirit to light these candles and take a moment for peace. If you would like to visit their website, check out Fridaylight.Org.

I automatically thought this would be a wonderful idea for Pagan women. Is this something that any of you ladies out there in cyberspace would be interested in? Do any of you have any ideas about blessings, times, days of the week, etc that you would like to share? I'm open for ideas. I think that working together to really market this idea would be a wonderful thing if anyone has any ideas they would like to share on the matter. I'm all ears.

Get Greener with paper-less post-its

Notes are nice and so are lists but the paper we use by writing those notes and lists, especially from those famous post-it notes is rather high especially if you tend to write yourself about 100 different notes each day. You can however cut down on the amount of post-it notes you use by outsourcing them altogether (so you can save paper AND money!) and by using a computer program that runs on your desktop.

My favorite post-it note program for computers is called Hott Notes. It's so easy to use, you just click on the icon to run the program and right click on the icon on your toolbar and click to write a yourself a new note. The note will sit on your desktop where you can see it all day long. You can check off items from your list as you do them and you can just write yourself a regular note and stick it to your desktop. And, if you're bored you can also create notes that you can draw on. It's a great program that's FREE. So save yourself money and the environment by using Hott Notes.

Earliest reference describes Christ as 'magician'

Magician? Really?

I had actually said this to my partner awhile ago, I thought upon thinking back about the popular magician Cris Angel and his stunt of walking on water, I said wouldn't it be funny to find out Christ was really a magician.

And then up pops this little gem.

Discovery points to possible Pagan/Christain intertwinings

And soon enough I'm going to make another update on the direction I feel this blog should go. :)
